Who is Jorge Rodríguez?
Jorge Jesús Rodríguez Gómez is a psychiatrist and longtime PSUV official, currently serving as President of the National Assembly. He previously held the Communications and Information Ministry and led the government delegation in the Barbados and Mexico City negotiations with the opposition.
Rodríguez is the brother of Vice President Delcy Rodríguez and is the public face of the Maduro government's diplomatic posture, including in negotiations with the U.S. on sanctions relief.
